Introduction
The built environment eco-system consists of the real estate, construction, and infrastructure sector, which is responsible for nearly 40% of carbon emissions and energy consumption, 50% of all extracted materials, 33% of water consumption, and 35% of waste generated. The built environment presents tremendous untapped potential to decarbonise the global economy while addressing other pressing environmental and societal issues, including energy security, resilience, water management, health, and well-being. These issues are at the centre of creating sustainable habitats and cities that are equitable and affordable to all sections of society.

ICSBE 2024 looks to deliver multiple dialogues between academia, policymakers, institutions, industry, and society on the issues of education, policy framework, technology, innovations, partnerships, and governance in the context of a sustainable built environment. The focus for ICSBE 2024 is “Decarbonization of the Built Environment”.

Themes
The International Conference on Sustainable Built Environment (ICSBE 24) aims to create a platform for scholars, academics, practitioners, and other experts from society to discuss and deliberate the issues relating to the sustainable built environment. Assessors and Registered Valuers Foundation (AaRVF) has been incorporated as a non-profit organisation under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. It is a Registered Valuers Organisation (RVO) registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) with the registration number IBBI/RVO/2021/016. AaRVF’s objective is to make valuation education accessible and affordable to all aspirants in India and to enable them to practice valuation as registered valuers. The idea to have an organisation delivering education for valuers in India was not new, but the idea to offer structured education and premium services in the most affordable manner for the development of the valuation profession and professionals is what inspired AaRVF to come into existence.
