An ex defence officer who served in the Corps of Engineers for 34 years and retired as a Brigadier (Chief Engineer) in March 2002. During his service he handled various multi-disciplinary infrastructure and Residential Projects and other operational assignments.
He holds a First Class ME in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Town and country Planning from Pune University and MSc from Madras University with specialisation in Behavioural Science/Leadership.
Post retirement he served in the construction industry with multinational companies as Project Director, Senior Vice President, Project Controller in L&T, RITES, IJM India (Malaysia), AFCONS and others, where he acquired wide ranging experience in handling major projects including Townships, part Golden Quadrilateral, Delhi Metro and Delhi International Airport (T-3).
He has been a Professor at College of Military Engineering, Pune and Visiting Professor at Govt College of Engineering at Pune and School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi.
