Dilip is associated with infrastructure developments from all sides during his 28 years of professional career. Initially, as a junior officer in Finance Department of Government of Maharashtra (GoM), he had been into financial and economic appraisals of infrastructure projects. He was deputed in Apex Training Institute for GoM, namely, Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) at Pune, where he spent three years training to Class I & II officers about urban infrastructure and PPPs. He came out of GoM to work on a developmental project funded by the USAID, and further worked for four years with Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) group at the level of a Vice President. Moving on, he was a full time consultant for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and have also worked in Vietnam on a World Bank funded project in urban transport. Apart from this, he had been a member of a team writing for two publications by the Oxford University Press and have worked for the developmental projects by Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JICA) & International Finance Corporation (IFC). Occasionally, he has been also a guest faculty at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, for training to officers from All India Services (IAS).
