Rajesh Joshi

Rajesh Joshi brings with him a vast experience spanning 15 years in the corporate in varied roles encompassing Project Management, Business Analysis, Consulting and Training. He has worked with prominent domestic and international Corporate houses including Wipro, Reliance, Ericcsson and Qualcomm. He travelled overseas to USA, Sweden, Dubai & Singapore on multiple study / work assignments – gathering exposure to diverse foreign economies and cultures.

Rajesh’s hobbies include listening music and reading poetry – he is an ardent fan of yesteryear Indian playback singer Mohd Rafi & by past Urdu poet Sahir Ludhianvi.

Rajesh graduated in Engineering in Electronics and Communications stream. After working for over five years in industry he went back to school for pursuing MBA with IT specialization from SP Jain School of Management. He firmly believes in Continuous Learning and evolving to meet the ever-growing challenges at work.

Rajesh brings with him rich experience in ramping up Systems and Skills to accomplish tangible Business outcomes. He is passionate about driving ‘Ease of Doing Business’ efforts aligned to the Organizational vision. He has successfully lead several projects in areas of Business Process Re-engineering & Enterprise Grade Systems Development.

As a Graduate Engineering Trainee in a local Telecom Products company, he spent his formative years doing Verification & Validation of applications developed for a Voice Over IP product. Later he moved to the IT Services Company Wipro where his primary role as a Project Manager was facing clients in gathering the business requirements and ensuring that the systems developed met their expectations. His job mandated preparing key reports for apprising the Senior Management of the status of various projects on a periodic basis.

Upon completing his management studies, Rajesh joined an India based Mobile Operator as a Business Analyst. In this position he functioned as a Consultant accountable for finding gaps in existing systems / processes that impeded the operational efficiencies and then overcome them by means of suitable BPR and / or Automation. Training end users on effectively using the new methods and systems was also handled by him.

To pursue his long-time interest in Teaching and Research, Rajesh joined RICS SBE as a full-time faculty for Computer Applications for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Research Interests:

Rajesh’s areas of interest include Smart Cities, Sustainable Development and Virtual Reality.

Rajesh is an active member of SLING – Student Learning Innovation & Networking Group at RICS SBE, facilitating various student Cultural, Sports and CSR activities.
