News
RICS SBE with IIT Delhi is conducting a study to examine the role of Standardisation and Adoption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can play towards enhancing the competitiveness of the Indian Real Estate (RE) sector.

The survey is designed to examine the role of Standardisation and Adoption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can play towards enhancing the competitiveness of the Indian Real Estate (RE) sector. A thorough perusal of literature on industry competitiveness, peculiarities specific to RE and change drivers influencing the RE sector have yielded the following four principal objectives to be pursued towards making the RE sector in India more competitive:

1. Sector Profitability and Growth
2. Predictability and Quality of RE Products and Services
3. Sustained and gainful employment in the sector
4. Governance for better compliance with norms and guidelines

These objectives have been further validated through stakeholder interviews, which, taken together with the perusal of secondary literature on the subject, have also highlighted a clutch of inhibitors/enablers (from a standardisation and ICT perspective) likely to hinder/facilitate the attainment of the above objectives.

IIT Delhi and the RICS SBE have jointly commissioned a research study to examine the impact of the above inhibitors and enablers on the identified sector objectives from an ICT and standardisation perspective. As part of this study, professional opinion on this topic of interest through this survey is taken. As a professional of high repute your views on this subject will be of immense help in analysing the performance of the sector and recommending strategies to be adopted for a more competitive RE sector in the country in the foreseeable future.

Your responses will be confidential and no information will be leaked that you share with us through this survey. Thank you for taking time out from your busy schedule and participating in this endeavour.
