As a part of our Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) initiatives, the staff of RICS School of Built Environment collected a sum of Rs 41,000 for donation towards Bhumi – one of India’s largest youth volunteering organizations which works towards building a better society by empowering young adult volunteers to lead social impact projects to underprivileged populations.

The fund donated by the School will be utilized by the NGO for the purpose of education of underprivileged children in shelter homes, orphanages, slums and villages communities.

Prof. Anupam Saxena along with 20 student volunteers from the School also helped out with event management, inventory management, hospitality, logistics and catering management at ‘Nakshatra’ – Bhumi’s annual two day inter-shelter-homes annual talent festival to unleash the creative potential of underprivileged children.

Children from shelter homes who often have limited interaction with their peers from other institutions as their lives often revolve only around the particular shelter home or their schools got a chance to interact with RICS SBE students freely.

Last year Nakshatra Delhi impacted 621 children from 23 shelter-homes and is expected to impact more than 750 children this year.
