Harish Narayanan dreams big with his MBA degree in REUI and shares how it will help achieve his ambition of being a CEO.

“I am a civil engineer and I was working with a construction company. But I was not satisfied with my job and wanted to move to the business side of the industry which is more commercial, that is real estate. I was searching for a course in real estate and my senior introduced me to RICS SBE.

Being a civil engineer, I was totally inclined towards the technical aspects of the project. I was not in touch with things like finance, market research and valuation of a project. But in real estate business, these skills are essential and I learnt them here during my MBA. The faculty are from the industry so what they teach is what we are going to do tomorrow.

The curriculum is regularly updated as per industry requirements and topics like RERA, GST are discussed inside out. I am going to join CBRE and I am sure I will not struggle there because of the skills I have acquired here.

Before coming to RICS SBE, I did not know anything about real estate but now I can analyse what is happening in the market.

I have got an internationally recognised degree and it opens the path for me to become an MRICS or FRICS. My ultimate goal in life is to become a CEO of a real estate consulting firm. For this, the beginning of my career is very important which I will start with an international property consulting firm CBRE.”
