Tell me about your background, your childhood dreams regarding career choices, your plan for life in some detail.
I belong to a business family with a liberal mind and an independent streak. I opted to do Bachelors in Architecture as I wanted to create buildings that could last for decades and knowing that they will make a positive impact on people’s lives and the environment. For this, I wanted to choose a career in management as I found my skills to be more aligned with managing and planning rather in designing. I always envisaged myself to be at a top managerial position in one of the best infrastructure firms knowing i would be contributing to society both socially and environmentally.

What made you go for MBA in RICS SBE?
I came to know about RICS SBE through Facebook and then researched it on the internet where I found out that this was an industry led institution and gives great exposure and placement opportunities to students The brand value of RICS was enough to convince me that this was the right place for my Master’s Degree.

How was your experience while learning at RICS SBE?
My journey in RICSSBE has transformed me into a more confident person, where beside the core academic and learning, I gained experience in various more important aspects of life. The faculties are from the industry and works hard to develop our skills and make us all rounded individuals who are ready to take on any challenges in our jobs.

I would definitely recommend all prospective students to join RICS SBE and embark their career towards a more fulfilling and promising future. RICS has not only helped in making me more technically competent but has helped me in identifying the leadership qualities that are needed to be successful in the competitive global environment.

How was your internship experience?
I had interned with CBRE South Asia where I was involved in providing effective management solutions throughout the project, monitoring and controlling progress at site and maintaining records of material inspection reports, manpower report and daily progress reports. The comprehensive work environment in CBRE has taught me how effective project management is practiced and helped me to improve my communication and people management skills.

For my final placement I was certain that I wanted to work as a project management professional in an EPC or an architectural firm. My placement experience has been robust and the placement team had helped me finding the best suitable job profile for me. The pre-placement activities and workshops had also helped me in preparing for my job interviews. Eventually, I had the greatest opportunity to be selected for DSA Architects International, Dubai as a project coordinator. All i needed to do was work hard, be positive and confident.

Tell us about your future plans.
I would like to work with DSA for few years and become an MRICS. Moreover, in future I would like to start my own firm and provide Architectural and Project management Consultancy.
