RICS SBE, Noida Campus students of MBA Construction Project Management and MBA Construction Economics and Quantity Surveying programmes visited the casting yard of Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd. (DRA Infracon).
The casting yard feeds the 59 km long, 6-lane Delhi Link Expressway, which is part of the iconic Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Project.
Following were the major highlights and key learnings for the students: -
Details and Purpose of the Site Safety Park: Special thanks to Mr. Ranjeet Singh for demonstrating the safety park and explaining the purpose and functioning of each part in detail. -
Live Demonstration of Various Tests for the Expressway Project: Special thanks to the quality team for preparing the trial mix and conducting various tests for Self-Compacting Concrete in the presence of the students. -
Understanding the Working of the Gantry Crane: Students learned how the crane is used to lift reinforcement cages and deck segments weighing up to 150 tonnes. -
Preparation of Formwork and Reinforcement Cages: A detailed understanding of the process involved in casting large-scale segments.
