A site visit was organized for MBA Construction Project Management (CPM), MBA Construction Economics & Quantity Surveying (CEQS) and MBA Real Estate & Urban Infrastructure (REUI) to the UNNATI – Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd. Office Building, Greater Noida. This building is a LEED Platinum certified, ECBC-compliant and Model Energy Efficient Building. Prof. Taqdees Anjum and Dr. Jyoti Singh accompanied the students to the site visit
The visit opened with a lecture by Ms. Mariyam Zakiah on “Design Strategies for Achieving Green Building Certification”. The session provided an in-depth understanding of sustainable design approaches including high-performance envelopes, insulated wall systems, integrated shading and daylighting strategies, radiant cooling technology, displacement ventilation, on-site water treatment, and renewable energy integration.
Students visited the building to observe:
>Innovative insulated façade and shading & light shelf system
>Radiant cooling and high-efficiency chilled-water plant
>Green roof and responsible waste management systems
>100 kW rooftop solar installation supporting near–net-zero performance
The visit enabled students to link classroom concepts with real-world applications in sustainable construction, energy-efficient engineering, and green building technologies.
