Convocation Ceremony of our first batch of students

On 6 November 2015, the School held its first convocation ceremony as part of Amity University’s annual convocation – a grand day long affair with all departments of the university and its students being awarded degrees and medals.

Mark Powell, Executive Director, Product Development, RICS and Gillian Charlesworth, Director of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, RICS, were present to grace the occasion, along with other business and academic team of the School.

The event begun with a grand procession at Amity University grounds, with flag bearers and pied pipers. The heads of institutions, departments, centres, faculty along with founder-president and chairperson were part of the convocation parade. This was followed by an inspiring speech by the Founder President and Vice Chancellor. Meritorious students were awarded gold, silver & bronze medals by the university based on their academic performance.

After a collective lunch of faculty, alumni and their parents, Amity University degrees were conferred to nearly 50 of the 70 students who attended the convocation, along with their parents.

Towards the end of the day, RICS SBE held its convocation ceremony where certificates of completion were awarded to all students, along with a memento for students to cherish lifelong. Also, trophies were given to winners of the Best Student, Best Capstone Project and Most Outstanding Performance awards.  The certificates and trophies were handed over by Mark and Gillian, along with Prof. KT Ravindran, Sachin Sandhir, Ashwani Awasthi, Devina Ghildial and Directors of the three specialised schools namely Anil Sawhney, Sunil Agarwal and DTV Raghu Rama Swamy.

Concluding the day, group photographs of all faculty and students were taken outside the convocation room, followed by distribution of sweets by the Dean.
